Nylon Pool
A waist-deep pool of white sand and clear water in the middle of the sea, inside Buccoo Reef. Princess Margaret named it on her 1962 visit, and Tobagonians say a swim here rejuvenates you. It is reached only by boat.

Buccoo Reef
A protected marine park off Pigeon Point and Store Bay, and one of the most accessible coral reefs in the Caribbean. An arc of five reef flats encloses the lagoon; the glass-bottom boat crosses the Coral Gardens, where you can snorkel among the fish. Jacques Cousteau rated it the third most spectacular reef in the world.

Pigeon Point Heritage Park
The island's best-known beach, with the thatched jetty on every Tobago postcard and calm water on the Caribbean side. It is a short drive from the airport at Crown Point.

A lively beach right by the airport, with a craft market and a food court where Tobago's crab and dumpling is served.

Main Ridge Forest Reserve
Protected since 1776, the Main Ridge is the oldest legally protected forest reserve specifically established for environmental conservation in the Western Hemisphere. Look for the rare White-tailed Sabrewing hummingbird, take a relaxing stroll or a trek to the top, and add the waterfalls on a full day.

Waterfalls
Tobago's rivers drop through the rainforest in a string of waterfalls with deep pools to swim in, Argyle near Roxborough on the Atlantic side being the best known. The island tour stops at tumbling waterfalls, and the full-day rainforest tour includes a trip to the waterfalls.

Englishman's Bay
A curve of sand backed by rainforest on the Caribbean coast, one of Tobago's most unspoiled beaches. Our day trip drives you up the coast road for a true Robinson Crusoe day of swimming, snorkeling or doing nothing at all.

Little Tobago
A seabird sanctuary off Speyside, at Tobago's northeast tip. The crossing passes the reefs of Goat Island, some trips by glass-bottom boat, and at the top red-billed tropicbirds, frigatebirds and boobies nest with their chicks.

Leatherback turtle nesting
From March to August, giant leatherback turtles come ashore at night to lay their eggs on Tobago's beaches. A guided visit lets you watch without disturbing them.

Bon Accord Lagoon
The mangrove lagoon behind Buccoo Reef, sheltered and shallow, with hummingbirds in the mangroves and fish all around the boat. See it from the glass-bottom boat or paddle it in a kayak.

Fort King George and Scarborough
The capital's 18th-century fort looks out over the harbour and the cruise terminal, with old cannons and the Tobago Museum. Cruise passengers start their shore excursion right below it.

Parlatuvier Bay
A horseshoe bay in a fishing village, with a long jetty and small boats on the sand, seen from the hill road above: the view you will photograph most on the Caribbean coast.

Deep sea fishing
Deep water is ten to fifteen minutes from the dock: marlin, sailfish, wahoo and mahi mahi on the troll, red snapper and grouper on the wrecks, and shark on a night charter.

Sunset on the water
The sun sets over the Caribbean side of the island. Watch it from the boat on the daily golden-hour sail to the Nylon Pool, No Man's Land and the Bon Accord Lagoon.
